Work and Study Places at TU Dortmund University

TU Dortmund University offers around 2280 individual and group study places at various locations that students can use to study for exams, write term papers or prepare presentations.

The study places on the list are open to students of all disciplines. Individual study places on the map can only be used by students of certain disciplines, which is indicated in the entries (only in English if browser language is set as such).

North Campus

  • 174 individual, 23 group and 52 lounge workstations
  • eight workstations equipped for wheelchair access
  • a kitchenette for free use
  • in the entrance area: 72 lockers and two snack machines
  • it is not necessary to book the workstations in advance
  • in the evening the security service will accompany you to your car or to the S-Bahn

The Rudolf Chaudoire Pavilion is blocked off for students as a study room on a daily basis. There are 50 workstations available to students. The weekly occupancy plan for the room can be viewed via the LSF.

Study places available in the evening

The following study places are also available to students in the evening:

  • Chemistry Building: Monday – Friday until 8 pm
    City Learning Space: Daily until 10 pm
  • Co-Learning Space (North Campus): Daily until 1 am
  • Co-Learning Space (South Campus): Monday – Friday until 8 pm
  • Emil-Figge Library: Daily until 10 pm
  • Physics Building: Monday – Friday until 8 pm
  • Sebrath Library: Daily until 8 pm
  • Seminar room building: Monday – Friday until 10 pm

In the evening and at night, students can be accompanied to the S-Bahn or the parking lot by the security service.

Study rooms for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses

In the Emil-Figge-Straße 50 on the Nothern Campus are two workspaces for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
