For one year, Dortmund University Library has received free access to the Canadian portal "PressReader" for all TU members. The service offers access to over 7000 digital products of the German and international press from around 100 countries in 60 languages.

The individual titles are each available in their original layout and can be searched in full text. PressReader's archive goes back up to 90 days, and new titles and issues are automatically activated.

Here are just a few examples from the wide range of daily and weekly newspapers: Der Tagesspiegel, NZZ-Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Rheinische Post, Washington Post, Le Figaro, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal Europe, Der Standard, Die Presse, The Daily Telegraph, Corriere della Sera, New York Times, Svenska Dagbladet, Hurriyet, and many more newspapers.

As usual with newsstands, you will also find magazines from different countries and thematic sections, such as Computerwoche, The Economist, Rolling Stone, Vogue, Elle, L'Express, The Newsweek USA, and numerous other magazines from the fields of culture, education, and lifestyle.

Register for free and compile your personal favorites from the product and country selection. A daily press review also keeps you up to date.

Until the end of September 2024, TU members can use the PressReader free of charge on campus via the platform or via the PressReader APP for smartphone and tablet, from home then always via the Virtual Private Network.
