The McGovern Library at Dortmund University Library is a real treasure trove of North American literature, with 4,000 volumes collected by Prof. Walter Grünzweig over several decades. On this evening, the diversity and cultural richness of North American literature will be brought to life in readings from well-known and lesser-known works.

With a prize quiz!
While reading aloud, participants must answer a few quiz questions about passages from the books presented (When could the story take place? What place is it about? Who could be the author?). The first person to find out something about a book or even guess its title wins a prize! 

In cooperation and with the participation of actors and actresses from the Dortmund City Theater and the Dortmund Children's and Youth Theater. Initiated by Prof. Dr. Walter Grünzweig, Senior Professor of American Literature and Culture with the participation of the University Library.
