AI tools for scientific literature research

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly finding its way into studies and research. Many people are familiar with ChatGPT in particular. At TU Dortmund University, Campus AI offers data protection-compliant access to the GPT models 4o and 4o mini. These tools can be helpful in various use cases, but are only suitable for scientific literature research to a limited extent. There are specialized AI tools that have been developed specifically for this purpose and can supplement "conventional" searches in databases and catalogs. This page presents a selection of such research tools. The FAQ "Questions and answers" provides information on their use.

Note: This page is intended to provide an initial introduction to the topic. As the field of AI continues to develop dynamically, the information may not be up-to-date or complete at all times.
