Test access until 28.5.: Theology and Religion Online (TARO)

Use the trial access to TARO, the portal for theology and religious studies from Bloomsbury Publishing, until May 28, 2025 and discover digital collections with basic literature, source texts and translated works from various religions.

 

 

Since 1858, the US publisher Paulist Press has been offering basic literature, source texts and translated works not only for Catholic theological research and teaching. In the Holy Year 2025, together with Bloomsbury Publishing, these digital collections of classic texts have been published in English translation, reflecting Christian, Islamic and Jewish spirituality, among others.

With the trial access to TARO you can access the following collections until 28.05.2025:

Ancient Christian Writers (ACW)
Based on the "Ancient Christian Writers" series published by Paulist Press, the "Ancient Christian Writers" collection presents the most important works of the earliest Christian theologians from the late biblical and patristic periods. The series comprises 75 volumes with translations of major works from Latin and Greek.

Classics of Western Spirituality: Pre-1500
The collection "Classics of Western Spirituality Pre-1500" comprises 75 works on Christian, Islamic, Native American and Jewish spirituality, among others.

Classics of Western Spirituality: Post-1500
"Classics of Western Spirituality: Post-1500" comprises 62 titles and provides an in-depth insight into Western spirituality after 1500 (including texts by John Calvin, Nahman of Bratslav and Safed spirituality)
