New design for the database information system DBIS

DBIS Search

The DBIS database information system has been shining in a new design since October 15, 2024! With the latest DBIS version, both the layout and the user interface have been completely redesigned to provide you with a more modern and intuitive user experience. This is no longer only available in German, but now also in English.

The database information system DBIS helps you to find the right databases for your individual research needs. It provides a comprehensive overview of freely accessible databases and enables direct access to our licensed services.

Cooperation for a modern system

The new version of DBIS was developed as part of a German Research Foundation (DFG) project. Under the leadership of the Regensburg University Library and in cooperation with national and international libraries, the system has been further developed into a modern web service that is optimally tailored to the current requirements of users.

DBIS lists all important information on databases, enables a quick and well-founded selection and can be flexibly adapted to individual needs. Over 370 institutions, including us, are working together on this system.
