Muteferriqa: Test access and webinar

The research portal Muteferriqa from the provider Miletos offers over 7 million digitized pages of historical journals and books from the 19th and 20th centuries relating to the Ottoman Empire and the early Republic of Turkey. Test access is possible until March 21, 2025!

The advantage: The contents of the Muteferriqa database can be searched in English, Turkish and Ottoman Turkish, which makes it possible to search Ottoman Turkish sources with Latin script in particular. Further information on the portal can be found on the provider's website.

Muteferriqa is available to members of TU Dortmund University on a trial basis up to and including March 21, 2025. On Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10 a.m., Miletos will present the portal in an online event. Please register at philologie.ubtu-dortmundde for the event link.
