Opening of the Sebrath-Bibliothek
Interested TU members are cordially invited to get to know the replacement location of the University Library. Prof. Manfred Bayer, President of TU Dortmund University, will cut the red ribbon on Tuesday, 17 October at 2 p.m. on the ground floor at Sebrathweg 7.
In preparation for the construction of the new University Library, the Central Library has been closed since August 2023. Since then, the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek is the central library location on campus. In addition, the new Sebrath-Bibliothek in the Technology Park is open since 21 August. In addition to 240 comfortable learning sites for concentrated work and bookable group study rooms, it houses book collections from the fields of business, engineering and natural sciences.
At the beginning of the winter semester 2023/24, the Sebrath-Bibliothek will be officially opened by the President of TU Dortmund University. You can to visit the premises over a glass of sparkling wine.
Way to the Sebrath-Bibliothek
The Sebrath-Bibliothek at Sebrathweg 7 is located about 2 km from the Mensa Bridge. The best way to get there is:
- take the H-Bahn to Technologiepark, then continue on foot.
- by bike: There are various Nextbike/Metropolradstations on Campus North and Campus South, also one at Sebrathweg 7.
- by Bus 465: From the Technologiezentrum or Joseph von Fraunhofer Str. stop on the edge of campus to the "Sebrathweg" stop.
- on foot in about 25 minutes.
