As part of the Herbstakademie of the UA Ruhr Universities, an online workshop will explore options for publishing one’s dissertation—whether through a publisher, self-publishing, or electronically via open access on a document server. In addition to the pros and cons, the workshop will also cover formal criteria.

A workshop held as part of the Herbstsakademie of the UA Ruhr Universities helps doctoral students find the most appropriate way to publish their dissertation. Different disciplines and academic cultures, formal requirements across various fields, and regulations in the doctoral guidelines can present challenges once they have completed their dissertation.
