Digital Press Review: Our Electronic Newspapers and Magazines

Did you know that TU Dortmund members have access to numerous newspapers and magazines online? We present a selection of local and national media as well as the most important licensed newspaper databases.
Some newspapers are available from several sources. While you will find the HTML flow texts of the articles in all three newspaper databases, wiso Presse usually also offers you a full-page PDF in the publisher's layout.

What does an article look like in HTML format?
Representation in print layout
The articles are presented in HTML format as continuous text, not in the layout of the printed newspaper edition as in the example on the left.
I am looking for another Newspaper - what Press Databases are available to me?
Factiva
Call up the desired newspaper under "Source", set the search period and enter the desired section or search terms in the free text search.
Note: Occasionally, sources such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung can be selected via Factiva and headlines of the articles are found. However, the full texts are not available for licensing reasons. For the FAZ, please use the FAZ portal and contact us if you have any questions or problems.
Nexis Uni
Enter the newspaper you are looking for in the search and add the desired department or search terms. In the middle section of the search line, you can narrow down the search period. At the top under "Menu" you will find a list of all newspapers and magazines available in Nexis under "All sources".
Wiso Presse
Call up "Press" in the left-hand bar and then "Show all sources" to go to the desired newspaper. You can search by department or keywords, or browse the tables of contents on the right. Unlike Factiva and Nexis, which provide HTML texts of the newspaper articles, wiso Presse usually additionally offers a PDF of the print layout.

Calling up the database every day seems too cumbersome for you? With "Magazine Monitoring" wiso offers the possibility to be notified by email when new issues of a newspaper or magazine are published. Every morning, the newspaper then comes to you by mail.
