Not just in May, Diversity Month!

So that everyone arrives safely: Accessible services in your Library

Services offered by Dortmund University Library © KI generiert
During Diversity Month, the Library is increasingly highlighting its various barrier-free services and access options, in particular the wide range of services offered by the Hybrid Learning Center (Hylec).

In May in particular, the Library draws attention to its barrier-free services , with which it supports students and researchers with disabilities or chronic illnesses. After all, a library should be accessible for everyone - physically, digitally and in terms of service.

That's what counts for us:

  • Most recently: a Zotero workshop Zotero - Easy Start for students with visual impairments or blindness starts on May 22, 2026.
  • Barrier-free building access for the easiest possible visit on site.
  • A reservable workroom for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
  • Individual courses and advice on literature research, tailored to your needs.
  • You can also submit your book lists to us. We will then be happy to compile suitable literature for you.
  • We offer a literature search and implementation service for people with visual impairments or blindness who are studying or working academically.

Would you like to get a first impression of the Library? In this reel you will get to know the barrier-free services.

We look forward to supporting you with our services and working together to make our Library more inclusive.
