For the facade work on Vogelpothsweg, part of the road must be closed from December 2 to 20, 2024.

The façade of the old Central Library on the S-Bahn side is currently being demolished, and demolition of the façade on the Vogelpothsweg side will begin in December. For this reason, the affected section of road will be closed for three weeks in December. The parking lots and the Mensa bridge can still be used, but the bus stops under the Mensa bridge will be relocated during this time. Information on the bus routes can be found at on the DSW21 website or via DSW21 notices.

The demolition of the Library is due to be completed in early summer 2025, after which the new building will begin. The new nine-storey Library building will be the central point of contact on the campus; the library offers modern learning spaces with comfortable equipment in a wide variety of learning scenarios.
