Inspec is the Institution of Engineering and Technology's physics, electronics and engineering database. More than 4,500 scientific journals are evaluated for the publisher-neutral database, which contains content curated by experts.

Ei Compendex focuses the literature search on 190 engineering disciplines and evaluates 4,000 scientific journals and a large number of conference proceedings. The database has a curated, English-language thesaurus, the "Ei Thesaurus", which enables a more efficient literature search.
