Fabulous Five - Five databases all about fashion, glamour and style!

Four magazine databases and a video database on international fashion have found their way into our library:

• The Harper's Bazaar Archive Complete and searchable digital archive of U.S. and U.K. issues (U.S.: full texts from 1867 to present; U.K.: full texts from 1929 to 2015).
• The Vogue Archive Complete and searchable archive of the US digital edition of Vogue, from the first issue in 1892 to the current monthly issue.
• The Vogue Italia Archive Complete and searchable archive of the digital Italian edition of Vogue since 1964.
• Fashion Studies Online: The Videofashion Library Video stream database from Alexander Street Press with 1,200 hours of video footage on fashion (as of 2017). Videos of fashion shows, interviews with designers, and numerous documentaries are also available as transcripts.
• Women's Wear Daily Archive (new addition!) The archive of the magazine "The Women's wear daily" contains the complete digital issues from 1910 to the current monthly issue). All information can be further processed and exported, e.g. as full texts with bibliographic information into the literature management program Citavi.

All databases can be found via the subject information page Cultural Anthropology of Textiles under "TOP databases". TU members can also access the databases from home via VPN.
