Read Heise magazines and online articles in full: Test the offer of Heise-Verlag until the beginning of January 2022 and take part in our short survey. Your answers will help decide whether the offer will continue!

The articles and magazines published by Heise-Verlag are well known to many people interested in technology. In addition to c't (the "magazine for computer technology"), Heise also publishes iX ("professional IT"), MIT Technology Review ("innovation"), Make: ("DIY"), Mac & i, c't Fotografie, and various special issues on special topics. Current news from these areas can be found on heise.de, although for some time now exclusive articles have also been published behind a paywall under the label "heise+".

From now on, you can read the complete offer of the Heise publishing house from the campus network. Specifically, the campus-wide access to heise+ and the digital subscription to c't is currently being tested. Try it out right away: News articles under the heise+ label can now be read in full if you are on the Uninetz or VPN (TU members) (example: Upcycling: Making old computers fit with Linux). You can also read all Heise magazines online.

  • We are very happy to receive feedback on this offer and have prepared a short survey for this purpose: Campusabo Heise magazines.
  • Based on your feedback, we will decide after the end of the test if and how we will continue licensing the Heise publications.
  • What exactly is being tested? We are currently testing two products: heise+-Campuslizenz and Digitalabo c't as Campuslizenz. The heise+ campus license provides access to all journals published by Heise-Verlag as of publication year 2016, as well as to all online articles published under "heise+". The c't digital subscription additionally provides access to all c't journals since the beginning of publication and also allows c't articles to be downloaded as PDFs in the original layout of the journal.
  • Can I use the apps from Heise-Verlag? Unfortunately, this is not possible with the campus licenses, as access is based on IP address and there are no personalized user accounts.
  • Can I read the articles on the go? You can also use the offerings on heise.de on a mobile device, as long as you are on the campus network, for example via eduroam or via VPN (TU members only).
  • Can I also read/download the articles offline? A download of the original layout in PDF format is only available as part of the digital subscription for c't. However, you can save the articles of all journals on https://www.heise.de/select or print them as PDF.
  • Couldn't I already read c't digitally now? Yes. All c't articles were already available via the WISO database. However, the reading comfort was lower than with direct access via the websites of the Heise publishing house.
