BibDay - My Visit to the Library

From June 22 to July 5, 2026, the University Library will participate in the study “BibDay – My Visit to the Library” alongside 42 libraries from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This nationwide study is being conducted by the working group User Experience in Libraries of the Berufsverband Information Bibliothek e. V.
What is it about, and how can I participate?
The study aims to help us view and understand library use from the users’ perspective. The goal is to improve the quality of our library services.
Library visitors can support the University Library by filling out a short “diary” with various questions about their library visit.
The responses to this survey will be transcribed and anonymized by the library’s project team. It will then no longer be possible to identify individual participants*.
The diary booklets are available in the entrance areas of the Emil-Figge Library and the Sebrath Library. Completed booklets can be dropped into the provided boxes or handed in to the service staff.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
Questions?
Please feel free to contact the staff on site during service hours or send us an email.
* Additional privacy notices regarding the study are posted in the library.
