"Everything so beautifully colorful here" - The Prometheus image database is here!

The digital image archive for arts, humanities and cultural studies Prometheus includes more than one million high-quality images, photographs and audiovisual materials from around 80 databases of museums, archives and research institutions. In addition, 'Prometheus' provides various learning elements that complement classroom teaching and promote self-study.

Since January 2015, a campus license has been available for TU Dortmund University, initially for one year. The license includes the simple search for image materials (simple right of use) and the extended search with further functions such as the creation of thematic image collections and presentations (extended right of use).

For the extended right of use, however, interested members of the TU Dortmund University have to register personally in the database. Please refer to the notes on personal access.
